This plugin goes towards solving what I call the Cache Gap.

After the expiry of a cache fragment, if the page that renders that fragment get hammered with traffic and it's quite a slow page then you may suffer a slow down if all your mongrels get tied up, not to mention the fact they are all doing the same thing when not needed
